“Ink-spiration” is so hard to find. I think my first Inktober will feature a lot of one piece characters haha. Or maybe just anime in general.

On that note, Merry is a sheep right? He seems more sheep-like than a goat… I bet wiki has all the answers. But kinda too lazy to look it up. (Not hardcore fan enough haha)

Of Chappy, new but old tablets and hustling

Recently decided it was finally time to invest on a tablet. Popped into a few of the local electronics and gadgetry stores – and almost wanted to cry. I knew there was a reason I had been putting off this purchase.

Luckily for me, it seemed to be the time of the year where clearance tech were being sold cheap as chips (relatively speaking at least).

My purpose was largely (if not solely) for showing my portfolio digitally (I did the maths and man, having several printed portfolios – emphasis on the plural ssssss – was gonna cost me an arm and a leg). I was lucky to find the old Google nexus 7 for about the same price as your budget as fuck tablet (whose name I’ve never even heard off). That’s half (actually, more than half) the price of your cheapest Samsung’s and stuff! (I’m not even gonna bother comparing it to iPads – bloody expensive things … And yes, I’m a Mac user though that’s largely due to the nature of my occupational curse.)

Anyway, I did the deed, bought the tablet, and took my new baby home. 🙂 In the scheme of things, I’d rather a decent old model than a brand spanking new model that might not even last me a year.

Since buying this, I’ve been trying even harder to find a real job. (Have I ever told you how soul fucking sucking the life of a waitress is? Well now I have.)

On top of door knocking, emailing and phone calling, I’m relearning to code websites on the side and Google Analytics. And I’m trying to draw a bit more too.

I’m slowly working my way through one piece. Less than 100 episodes till I’m up to date!!! Woo hoo!

At some point, he will be coloured in. At some point …

Oh well, break time is over. Back to real world job hustling. (Not that waitressing isn’t a real job mind you – just not the life for me.)
